Farmer's engineers fall into three categories: White mages, Blue mages, and Green mages. The White mages have the least power, while the Green mages are the strongest. Each player must also allocate a budget of gold per month for the repair of buildings. If you don't purchase new units during the campaign, you lose gold forever.
You also have a fixed number of units that can be assigned to a specific military mission. Each faction has only a set number of units that can be used in a mission. This is a rough guide only, as some units cost more gold than other units and some are better suited for a mission than others. For example, archers and chaplains cost more gold than berserkers and priests.
In Kingdom Under Fire, characters from the oldest generation of heroes—those who fought in the conflict known as the First Great Empire—can now be unlocked. However, unlocking these characters requires first collecting and researching all new relics. Each faction has a set number of relics that can be researched. In order to unlock all relics of a particular faction, you must research all the relics in that faction.
You can begin missions where your goal is to either build up your economic might or to defend your lands from a foreign invasion. The latter is more rewarding, as you gain levels for your heroes that allow them to acquire better gear, which allows them to take on tougher enemies with more success and at more levels. Factions who are invaded automatically go to war mode, meaning they will lose gold and experience. If your army is invaded, destroy all enemy units (both friendly and hostile) before turning on your enemy. 3d9ccd7d82
